ViewSelf is an Oracle database observability and performance monitoring system developed and operated by Wesley David Santos, based in Brazil. ViewSelf enables database administrators to monitor metrics such as CPU usage, sessions, wait events, tablespaces, locks, and backups all in real time and from a single interface.

2. Data We Collect
We collect only the data strictly necessary to provide, improve, and secure the ViewSelf service:

Important: ViewSelf never stores database credentials (usernames, passwords, or connection strings) on our servers. All connections are handled locally on your machine.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:
Authentication and access control to verify your identity via Google OAuth and validate your license status before granting access to the application.
License and subscription management to activate, validate, and manage your plan, including trial periods and paid subscriptions processed through Stripe.
Security and fraud prevention IP logs and authentication events are analyzed to detect unauthorized access attempts and protect your account.
Product improvement usage metrics collected via Google Analytics help us understand which features are most valuable and prioritize development.
Customer support your email and usage history may be referenced when handling support requests submitted via email or WhatsApp.
4. Database Monitoring Data
ViewSelf connects directly to your Oracle databases from your local machine to read performance metrics. This monitoring is strictly read-only ViewSelf never writes to, modifies, or deletes any data in the databases being monitored.
Performance metrics (CPU usage, wait events, sessions, tablespace usage, etc.) are displayed in real time within the application and are not transmitted to or stored on ViewSelf's servers. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the database connections used for monitoring are properly authorized by your organization.
Database credentials configured in ViewSelf are stored locally on your machine and are never sent to our servers.
5. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share limited data only with the following trusted service providers who are contractually bound to protect it:
Google (OAuth & Analytics) used for authentication and anonymized usage analytics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Stripe used for payment processing. ViewSelf does not store card numbers or sensitive financial data. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant.
We may also disclose data if required by law or to comply with a valid legal order or court judgment.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. Specifically:
Account data (email, name) is retained for the duration of your active account. If you request account deletion, this data is removed within 30 days.
Authentication and IP logs are kept for up to 12 months for security audit purposes, then permanently deleted.
Payment records are retained by Stripe according to their own data retention policy and applicable financial regulations.

8. Security Measures
We apply industry-standard security practices to protect your personal data, including encryption of sensitive data at rest and in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure.
However, no system is entirely immune to security risks. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
ViewSelf is a professional B2B tool intended for database administrators and IT professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of ViewSelf after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
